Abstract

Latin America is once again at a crossroads. In the 21st century when fundamentalisms should be set aside, we face political positions that frankly border on intolerance and hatred. Democracy, which Popper defended even with its paradoxes, must raise his voice again and make us reflect if we really should continue to insist on the Union of this Great Continent. And frankly, we think so. The towns are many more than their leaders and the Great Homeland more than their borders and walls.
