The article, starting from the fact of the influence that the Spanish rule has exerted on many aspects of Sardinian life (if only for its duration), deals in particular with popular religiosity, and entering more specifically, the introduction of the cult of the Spanish saints on the island. From here we pass in the second part to the examination of the analogy between the popular religiosity of the Sardinians and that of the Latinos of America, due not only to the common Spanish influence, but also to very similar conceptions of life.
