Abstract

The essay deals with the conditions of backwardness of the areas Cilentane after the Second World War. This fact leads many to emigrate abroad Cilento. One of the preferred directions is Belgium where they go to work in the mines. After discussing the issues related to the inclusion, is also briefly examined the role of women. The essay concludes with the tragedy of Marcinelle with the testimony of a cilentano.
