Contradiction and dialectical tension in the work of Norberto Bobbio: the relationship between freedom and equality

This essay focuses on Norberto Bobbio’s Theory of Democracy. The analysis will focus on the reconstruction of the theoretical-categorical path that led the Italian philosopher to develop the concept of “minimal procedural democracy”. We intend to address the philosophical foundations of Norberto Bobbio’s Theory of Democracy, analyzing the possible “dialectical tension” between the concepts of freedom and equality. We will also seek to analyze how the conceptual evolution fits into the historical context of the period.
